Event Name: Row for the Red Cross
Date: Sunday, April 18, 2010

Sponsors of Row for the Red Cross: direct-thought, CrossFit Geneseo, and CrossFit Rochester

The Row for the Red Cross is a one-day event which will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Stop by a CrossFit gym in Rochester or Geneseo to row a 5000 (or part of) meter marathon on a Concept2 Rowing machine. Each athlete will be asked to seek out sponsors. All proceeds benefit the Greater Rochester and the Northern Livingston County Chapters of the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help all people prevent, prepare for, and respond to personal, community, and other emergencies.

The Northern Livingston County Red Cross Chapter is staffed by three paid employees and hundreds of dedicated volunteers who serve the communities of Avon, Caledonia, Conesus, Geneseo, Groveland, Leicester, Lima, Livonia, Mt. Morris, Nunda, Portage and York.
